华为人又出事了,“企业文化”还有多少文章可作?

华为在IT界以饱受争议而著称,当然,能成功打入国际市场足以证明它是中国通信产业的骄傲,但又因特殊的企业文化而饱受争议,包括加班文化、床垫文化、狼性文化等等有不同的形容词,但基本思想都是一致的,都说华为不对。这不,2月26日,一名成都华为的员工跳楼自杀,又给饱受争议的华为在伤口上撒了一把盐。


这些天看了很多评论,我觉得大部分人的看法还仅仅局限于对华为的企业文化做文章。首先,就自杀原因,网上出现了多种说法,一是炒股巨亏,二是工作压力,三是感情问题,但大部分人只认同第二种说法。但我觉得华为的问题是个老生常谈的问题,多说无用,透过这次事件,应该看到的是IT整个行业的通病,而不是一味的大谈企业文化弊端。


一,IT行业从蓝海步入红海

致使IT人心理健康出现问题的根本原因是IT行业的变化,从20世纪末期IT行业高速增长到今天趋于成熟,这也决定了IT行业从蓝海步入了红海。竞争的加剧,利润的下跌,更新的加快则客观上决定了这个行业的从业者将面临更繁的工作及更大的压力。

从近两年的IT行业发展来看,产值增长率远低于IT公司及IT从业人员的增长率,同时,行业发展成果却百分之八九十被一线公司垄断,这种背离长尾理论的现状将加速IT行业的优胜劣汰,使IT人生命周期变得更短,要赶上行业发展必须不断学习不断充电,否则必定被IT红海淹没。


二,IT工作者的单调性和封闭性


除了学习压力,IT人的工作环境与IT人心理疾病也有莫大关系。IT从业者大致分技术类和非技术类两种,绝大多数从事的是技术类工作,而封闭性、单调性则是这类工作最大的特点。对包括华为在内的很多IT企业来说,研发如企业运行的基石,自然有特殊的要求,采用封闭式管理是很普遍的现象。


我有一些朋友从事了技术研发后告诉我说公司考虑到工作效率及保密等原因,采取了上班时间断网断QQ的策略,阻断了互联网这一重要渠道。另一方面,长时间面对一行行代码也致使他们变得麻木,不但影响他们后期的职场发展,更重要的是从知识层面到精神层面都会造成严重缺失,长此以往,心理疾病出现也就不足为奇了。


三,IT从业人员过于泛滥


前两年IT行业缺乏人才,IT人都被称作“IT精英”,而这两年,随着大批量的IT人从各类院校中走出来,人才泛滥趋势逐渐加剧,IT人再也不是企业竞相追逐的“香饽饽”,而是被各类企业挑三拣四的廉价劳动力,美其名曰“IT民工”。


由于大部分IT人做了大量的工作却得不到相应的报酬,心理上讲肯定不平衡,毕竟被剥削的滋味谁都不好受,但IT人也是商品,是商品就得符合价值规律。供过于求的局面使IT人从精英沦为民工,这和接受高等教育的背景不符合,加上企业剥削过度,生存压力加大,自然而然会滋生各种各样的心理疾病。


所以,此次华为人自杀事件除了折射华为的问题之外,更重要的是再一次反应了IT行业和IT人群的通病,而揪住华为企业文化不放的做法只是肤浅片面的认识。


How many difficulties can be exploited over the corporate culture of HuaWei


HuaWei is famous for its controversy in IT industry. First, it can enter international market, which can prove its power and honor. Second, the enterprise culture is so special that many people criticize it. On 26th Feb, one officer of Huawei Chengdu jumped to suicide, which leads more dispute to Huawei.


Recently I read some comments; I think most friends just pay attention to the corporate culture of Huawei. For the reasons of suicide, there are three statements: fail in stock market, pressure of work, problem of love. Most of friends make sure the second statement is the real reason. Through the event, we should see the common problem of IT industry but not to talk about the corporate culture.


From Blue Sea to Red Sea


The transform of IT industry is the main reason of psychological problem of IT people. At the end of 20th century, the growth of IT industry become more and more mature. So the industry entered read sea. The competition intensifies and the profit decreases. It updates more and more quickly, which brings forward more complicated work and more pressure.


From the development of IT industry, the growth rate of value is much lower than the increase of IT people. The situation which departs from the long tail theory will accelerate the elimination. The life period of IT people becomes shorter and shorter. So you have to study more and more. You can’t stop or you will be eliminated.


The monotonous and closure of IT work


Besides the work pressure, the environment has great relationship with the mental disease. The work can be divided into two parts, the first is technological and the second is non-technological. Most IT people are engaged in the technological work. And the development is the fundamental of the operation of corporate. So the management is closure and monotonous.


Some of our friends have been engaged in the work of technological development. They confess the work environment that the Internet is cut off. On the other hand, they become numb facing the code. That will lead more bad effect to their future. It is not surprising to be sick in mental.


Flood of IT people


It is so lack of IT people few years ago. Most IT people were called “IT hero”. As so many IT people graduated from the university. The flood of ITers is more and more fierce. So they are not cake enterprise are hungry for, but the cheap labor force and they are called “IT labor”.


They can’t get relevant pay comparing with their work. That’s unbalanced in mind. After all, no body thinks it is tasteful to be exploitive. However, the value theory determines the situation. Many IT heros become IT labor. The high pressure and the unbalanced mind will lead more and more mental disease.


So the issue of suicide can show the problem of Huawei and more important it shows the common disease of IT people. That is just one kind of superficial cognition to hold the problem of corporate culture.
