How to reset WINDOWS7 local admin password

In case you forget the local administrator password, you can try below method to reset it.

1.       Boot into WINPE system

2.       Take away the permission and owner properties of the file: C:\Windows\System32\utilman.exe

3.       Rename UTILMAN.exe to UTILMAN.exe.bak

4.       Copy CMD.exe to UTILMAN.exe

5.       Reboot into Windows 7

6.       Click the ICON (Ease of Access)

7.       It will open a new CMD window

8.       Run “Start CMD”

9.       Now you will get the SYSTEM permission and you can use “net use” command to reset the local admin password.
