3.FON是怎么玩的？
FON路由器有两个SSID，私有SSID就是和普通路由器没什么两样，另外还有一个公有SSID，让其它的Fonero 用来连接上网，或者非Fenero用来付费上网。连接不需要密码，任何有无线网卡的人都可以连接上，但是你输入任何网站，都会把你领到FON网站登录界面，你必须输入你在www.fon.com注册后的用户名和密码后，才能登录其它的网站，否则你就只能看FON网站。

Communicating with the FON Network. The FON spot regularly communicates with FON via a Heart Beat. This heart beat is used to dynamically update the FON Map as to the status of the FON Spot and to validate whether a Fonero continues to share his/her internet connection with the community and should therefore keep his/her free roaming privileges across the network.
FON Radius Server
The FON Radius Server authenticates users of the public SSID on the FON Spots. The FON Spot should communicate directly with the FON Radius Server..
FON Web Server
The FON web server provides a number of functions to the FON Network which include:
· Serving the Captive Portal
· Serving the Landing Page
· Serving My FON
· Providing FON Maps
· Purchasing access to the FON network
· Managing the FON Spot and customer account registration processes either via Web pages
provided to customers or via a web services API provided to the ISP
· Supporting the authentication process for users of the public SSIDs
FON Heartbeat Server
The FON Heart Beat Server tracks the status of FON Spots in the FON Network. FON Spots send
small encrypted DNS requests (Heart Beat) to the Server every minute. This is used to dynamically
update the status of FON Spots on the maps. If a FON Spot becomes deactivated for over 30 days,
its owner loses roaming privileges on other FON Spots. Roaming is reinstated once a Fonero
switches the FON Spot back on and the Heart Beat resumes.

FON主要有八块。
