Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system.
2. Work to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high resilience and performance tuning.
3. To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
4. Responsible for providing trend analysis to management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.
5. Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL Databases
6. Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades.
7. Responsible for implementation and release of database changes according to agreed timescales and costs
Competency Profile （Competencies / Skills for the job）
1. 3 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration within a large organization
2. Excellent English (CET-6 or above)
3. Certification MCDBA
4. Must be a self-starter that requires only limited supervision/guidance
5. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005
6. ORACLE database administration knowledge is an advantage
7. Linux administration skills are an advantage
8. Experience with SharePoint is an advantage
9. Strong verbal/written communication, documentation, organizational, analytical and troubleshooting skills are a must
10. Customer focused and team player attitude
