• At least 5 years’ experience with C#/C++, .NET 3.5/4.0, and web technologies
• Good MS technical knowledge and hands-on experience on WCF, WF, LINQ , Windows, SQL Server, System Center, SharePoint, Biztalk, and App Fabric, etc.
• Knowledge on setup development/testing environment and be able to perform required unit testing/integration testing independently
• Previous project experience on below industrial solutions will be preferred:
o eGovernment;
o Transportation
o Energy & Utilities
o Environmental Monitoring
o Healthcare
o Education
o Logistics
• Proven technical leadership to own and drive cross-team features from requirements to test and release will be a plus
• Knowledge on application design pattern and be able to provide solution architecture design will be a plus
• Effective communication skills and collaboration with other engineers
• Solid engineering practices in design, coding, and testing
• Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related fields.

Our team, SCD International (SCDI), is looking for a motivated Dev who will be responsible for developing, modifying, and updating tools used in the UI and UE localization processes of Commerce, MSD, Azure, and the Identity products/components. This position provides a unique opportunity to work in a team where your tool development will have an impact on most of our localization processes. The ideal candidate for this position is a developer with knowledge of Microsoft localization processes and a desire to write code to improve the automation of our team’s localization processes.
Summary of core job responsibilities:
• Improve (fix bugs, add new features) the current localization tools (SWAT, MLP, GPS, LCX2SQL, etc.)
• Improve the current tools or create a new tool to manage EOL for UI localization
• Create a new tool to manage EOL for UE localization
• Write and improve LocStudio and lsbuild parsers to support the localization of different file formats
• Investigate/update the appropriate tools to improve the Management Pack localization process
• Investigate/create new tools to automate the wordcount process for both UI and UE localization
• Investigate/improve other Microsoft tools for possible SCDI team’s adoption
• Investigate/improve other Microsoft cloud-based systems for possible SCDI team’s adoption
Skills Required:
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations
• BS in Computer Science or similar Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience
• Strong C++ and/or C# skills (C# preferred)
• 3+ years of experience developing production quality code in a professional software engineering role
• Strong design skills; ability to resolve ambiguity and deliver solutions that are sustainable and well factored
• Experience with SQL Server, SQL Server database design and Integration Service, ASP.NET / IIS, and Windows platforms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to work independently
• Good knowledge of XML
• Demonstrate ability in handling complex technical issues and providing timely solutions
Additional desired skills
• Familiarity with SW localization processes;
• Work experience in a large organization and with external groups and partners is a plus.
