China is playing an increasingly important role in helping the international community to eliminate extreme poverty by 2030.
Since the late 1970s, having implemented the reform and opening up policy, China has helped up to four hundred million people out of poverty. In the next five years, China will provide assistance to other developing countries in reducing poverty, developing education, agricultural modernization, envioronmental protection and medical care.
China has made remarkable progress in reducing poverty, and has made unremitting(不懈的，不停的) efforts to promote economic growth, which will encourage other poor countries to respond to the challenges of their own development. These countries can learn from the experience of China when they seek to develop their own characterisitics.
