1. SharePoint Distributed Cache service提供内存缓存服务, 从而使得客户端获取数据的速度更快, 伴随着它的还有SQL Server端负载的减轻.

2. SharePoint Distributed Cache是建立在​​Windows Server AppFabric Cache​​之上的.

3. Distributed cache中缓存的内容包括很多东西. 其中许多都与SharePoint 2013的社交网络(social)功能相关, 比如说tags和document activities. 还有, 为了提升性能, authentication和security信息也缓存了起来, 比如说claims tokens, security trimming等.
